Admin EditMikey monkey has a girlfriend!
Today there were some strange noises in 1C. Miss Clare was getting a little bit cross with the children that were making monkey noises before lunch time. Everyone promised that it wasn't them! Later in the afternoon the mystery was solved - it was monkey mail from Molly. Molly is Mikey's girlfriend who is desperate to see Mikey as it's been so long since they last met up in August. She is coming to visit us next week. I guess that we will have another cheeky monkey to deal with in 1C!!

Moon Festival
This week we have continued learning about a range of different festivals. On Thursday Calista's mummy came in to talk to the class about Moon Festival. After we heard a presentation and saw a few short films to explain the festival further the children made some red chinese lanterns and got to taste some moon cake.
Thank you very much to Calista's mummy for coming in and sharing the legend of this special Chinese Celebration.
Thank you 1C for the opportunity. It was a pleasure to share a story with all of you. I enjoyed watching the contented faces of some yet scrunched up faces of others as the kids tasted the moon cakes.
Glad that they find the story interesting, going by the number of times they re-watched the movie on the shooting of the 9 suns. Hope you all had fun!
