All story writers start with a plan. It is important to know where you are going before you start writing, or you will amble around and not really get anywhere! We wouldn’t want that.
However, how you plan is up to you. You might decide to draw a story board or story map if you are picture smart.
You might write short notes for each paragraph if you are word smart. You might do a bit of both if you are a bit of both. A story 'S' might be a good way to combine pictures and words.
You might decide to create a mind map or a flow chart if you are logic and number smart.
In your red literacy books please design a plan for my story. You can choose your style of planning. Only include the main details that are needed to keep the plot flowing.
As an optional extension create a plan for your own short story set in the rainforest. We will be developing your own story ideas in class next week.
