You have been doing some fantastic work on using descriptive to write a narrative for The Piano.

Read the simple sentences below and turn them into descriptive paragraphs that describe that part of the film. Two things that will be really useful will be a thesaurus to find interesting words and to use commas, (or even semi colons), to link different parts of the sentences together. Remember to vary your sentence lengths.

The old man sits in a big room.

He plays a nice tune.

His fingers press the keys and we notice a ring.

An old lady kisses him on the cheek.

He nods to his friend.

He opens the box and takes out the hobby horse.

 His grandson smiles at him.
