YEAR 5 RESIDENTIAL PACKING LIST

The holidays are a great time to start packing or buying things for your residential trip!
Enjoy!
Remember - you pack it...you carry it!
WHAT TO BRING
- 3 pairs shorts
- 4 – 5 T shirts
- Sufficient underwear/socks
- 1 pair long trousers or track pants
- Sweatshirt / hoody / jumper
- 1 change of clothes for evening activities
- Pyjamas / Nightdress
- Swimming Costume
- 2 hats
- Light raincoat with hood
- Reading book
- 2 towels
- Plastic bag for dirty laundry
- Mosquito repellent/after-bite cream
- Toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, hairbrush, face towel, all packed in toilet bag)
- Sunscreen
- Rubber–soled shoes for walking in river
- Trainers / walking shoes
- Day pack which can be carried on back
- Water bottle
WHAT NOT TO BRING
- No electronic games or personal stereos please
- Excessive amounts of junk food!
OPTIONAL EXTRAS
- Teddy bear!
- Camera with film/memory card
- Binoculars
- Sunglasses
- Torch with batteries
- Own Cycling Helmet
- Watch or alarm clock
- Medication in a sealable container; must be clearly labelled, to be handed to teacher prior to getting on the bus
- Sleeping bag - not essential as blankets are provided. Please take into account the space it will take up in your child’s luggage and do not feel you have to buy one especially for this trip.
· POCKET MONEY - There will be opportunities for the children to buy souvenirs at the National Park. We feel that Baht 500 is a sufficient amount and ask that the children keep it in a small named purse or wallet.
Children will be responsible for their own money at all times.
RECOMMENDATIONS
- We would recommend a soft bag/backpack to carry possessions rather than a suitcase
- Children will need to be responsible for their own possessions
- To encourage independence in the children, it would be a good idea if they took some responsibility for the labeling and packing of their equipment
- Please make sure everything is clearly labeled!
