4J's Jolly Jungle: Find out what's going on in 4J.

This Weeks Learning

Published Friday, March 30, 2012.
Last updated: Friday, March 30, 2012

We've had a fun week learning writing our Rainforest stories, creating germination videos, learning about photosynthesis and taking part in rainforest drama! Wow. Here are some links which you may find useful to help you with your learning.

Don't forget to bring in your final matrix learning on Monday - I'm really looking forward to seeing all of your learning. Have a lovely weekend and keep reading! Thank you to all the children who have brought in books to help us with the reading olympics.

Here is a short video which explains more about plants.

Here is the game I put on the blog last week, if you follow the link it should work better -

Finally our great Kapok Tree - Can you remember all the reasons why we shouldn't cut down trees? Luckily Nikolas (the logger) decided to leave the tree (and the animals) in peace.

Next week we will be looking at our final questions - how is deforestation connected to climate change and what can we do to help?

Hurray - the Reading Olympics has arrived.  You've got your teams, you've got your books, it's time to get reading!  Remember the more your team can read, the better! I'm very excited to see so many of you excited about reading. If you have any of these books at home, can you please lend them to the class. We promise to label them carefully and look after them.

Home Learning - Literacy

Published Tuesday, March 27, 2012.
Last updated: Tuesday, March 27, 2012

You have been given a comprehension to answer for your home learning today. Please complete the answers in full sentences by Thursday 29th April. I have attached the sheet in case you have mis-placed the sheet. Please do not answer the sentence level section.

Today we have been learning about parts of a plant and photosynthesis. Here is the link if you would like to learn more.

There is also another silly song to listen too. Remeber to look at the game I put on a prevous post too - it will help you to undersand the lifecycle of a plant.

Comment By Amy

The song was cool and I tried to learn it.
