Home Learning
Next half term we will be learning all about the rainforests. This is a great theme full of colour, senses and current world issues! For tonight’s home learning I would like you to prepare yourselves by looking at these websites (or any books you have at home) and finding out about rainforests around the world.

By Friday (if possible if not Monday after half term) please email me: Three key questions that you would like to explore (remember you do not have to answer them - we will look at them in our learning next term).
We can use these to lead our learning in class. These questions need to be ‘deep’ questions, on which we would need to research, think and reflect lots to answer. For example (about rivers).....
Which are the ten longest rivers in the world? (not meaty)
How do rivers affect human lives? (meaty)
And .....three activities that you would like included in the Rainforest Home Learning Matrix which we will begin on the Wednesday after half term.
Please also include any useful links to rainforest learning you have found.
If you do not have computer or internet access please complete this in your general HL (red) books.

Question 1:what makes a forest a rainforest?
Question 2:How is a rainforest formed?
Question 3:Who thought of the word
