Sports Day
1S had a wonderful Sports Day this morning, with many different activities to allow them to show off the skills they had learnt in their PE lessons. To round it all off they had an ice lolly afterwards, which was a great way to finish.
Here they all are, looking a little cooler (but not much!) after a little rest.

World Language Day
The children had a great day, celebrating the wonderful diversity of languages we have at Patana. First of all we all joined in with a whole school assembly which showcased the many talents and languages that we have in the school. After this we came back to class for our playtime and snack and then got ready to link up with Year 2 to participate in four different activities, all with a language theme. There were some outside playground games to learn, a jigsaw of the languages spoken in the year group to make and put together, letters to collage, which will make up different greetings and finally some language games played in French. All great fun!
Here we are this morning in our wonderful Language Day costumes.

Very nice Assembly :D
