The children in 1S were challenged by ERIC today to see if they could work in teams to find out which container had the greater capacity. First of all they had to decide on a container that they wanted to test. Then they had to put their containers in the order they all thought would be the right one - talking with each other to ensure that they all agreed with the choices. The following photo was their prediction:

The next job was to fill their container with cubes and then count how many it held. This was a big job for some of the pairs! Once we had counted all of the cubes, the children had to put the empty containers into the order of how many cubes they held and then we took another photo.
Comparing the two photos allowed the children to decide how accurate their predictions were. Have a look and see how clever they were!!

Well done 1S - great job!
