World Book Day
We had a lovely "World Book Day" today. We stopped everything and read for 10 minutes at 09:00 and after playtime, our Year 5 buddy class (5G) came over to our classroom and read with us. It was wonderful to see the older children getting really engrossed in the stories they were reading and our own children thoroughly enjoying the variety of stories they were listening to. Well done to everyone! :-)
This is what they thought of 5G's visit:
It felt like I was in the story.
I liked it and it felt good and fun.
I felt comfortable because I did not use my voice.
It was good and it was funny.
It was good because you could listen to different stories.
It was a lot of fun.
I liked how there were lots of different books.
It was funny.
I liked the story about the cat.
I enjoyed listening to the "Three Billy Goats Gruff".
I liked the "Three Little Pigs".
I liked the "Cat in the Hat" because it is my favourite.
I liked "No David!" because he was doing bad things.

All the 1S students seemed to enjoy reading with their buddies. Well done :)
