1S had a wonderful trip to Wat Kra Tum today, which was all part of our learning about "Our Wonderful World" and Thailand and Bangkok in particular. They enjoyed the four activities we had planned for them and the time disappeared so quickly that it was amazing how quickly the time went - and we were soon back on the buses heading back into school to have our lunch!
The children's activities were:
- Feeding the fish and lotus flower folding.
- Sketching and observing the Buddha statues in the Buddha room.
- Signing tiles and making merit by placing coins into the alms bowls.
- Rubbing gold leaf onto the Buddha statues and lighting the incense sticks.
The trip was a wonderful way to end "Our Wonderful World" theme and gave the children a lovely insight into the workings and set up of a temple.
