Science - Materials

1S have started a new topic today (Monday 11th January) all about different materials and what they are used for. They have started off by going on "Material" walks, playing a "Feely" Bag game and constructing Mind Maps about the things they already know. They have already found out some interesting things; like, for example, their clothes are made from plants (cotton)! It would be lovely if you could talk to them at home about the different materials that objects around the house and their surroundings are made from. Many thanks.
