Loy Krathong!
Last Friday (19th November) all of the children in the Primary School celebrated Loy Krathong. Our grateful thanks go to the Thai Department, who organised all of the activities.
The children enjoyed the assembly, which started the day off in style, and then found out how to play some traditional Thai games - finding out that they were trickier to do than they first thought! They also had a go at a Loy Krathong dance, which was great fun!

After play time everyone had the opportunity to make their own Krathong as well as playing a part in making the two larger Krathongs that the class made - some of them are here. They looked beautiful. :)

Once lunch had been eaten, it was time to float our Krathongs at the new reflecting pool in the new Arts Centre. It was great fun making a wish and then pushing the Krathongs out into the middle of the pool. Our two 'helping hand' children for the day then had the honour of floating the class Krathongs.

It was a wonderful day and lovely to see so many parents who were able to be with us - thank you very much.
Ben has learned a new Thai word.
