1S have visited the Sculpture Park
On Tuesday morning this week, 1S joined 1E and 1F on our trip to Queen Benjasiri Park, near Emporium. We have just started our mini-topic on 'Sculptures' and the children had the opportunity of seeing real examples in a wonderful outside setting. Everyone had their sketch books and spent a happy hour drawing their favourite ones - it was lovely to hear the children talk about what they thought the sculptures were, as their ideas varied an enormous amount!! It is going to be interesting to see what they make with their own sculptures now they have seen some real ones.

We really like the sculptures because we've never seen any like that before.
We also really like your school uniform and think you look very smart. We can't wait to find out all the children's names!
My favorite sculpture was the Pyramid with the gold metal on the top.

We enjoyed going to the sculpture park on Tuesday and we were able to draw our favourite ones. The uniform you see us wearing here is our PE kit as it was very hot and our kit is much cooler to wear – our actual uniform is a little different. If you could ask Miss Jessop to send us a photo of you all then we could see what you look like as well! We could put it on our blog and explain that we are linking up with you and sharing the things that we do.
