K2L have been taking photographs this week using our iPads. The children took some great photos of their friends in different parts of the garden which we have printed and displayed on our classroom wall. Please come and have a look.
We have also taken photographs with a Nature theme which will be exhibited in the Foundation Stage Art Exhibition in the coming weeks.
Combining technology and creativity was so much fun!

Swimming Gala 2013
Today's K2 Swimming Gala was a huge success! The students were very proud to show their parents the skills they have been learning over the course of the year. It was wonderful to see just how confident and competent these 4 and 5 year old children are in the water! Congratulations to each one of you! There will be a special certificate in your Learning Journey to remember this day.
Thanks to Coach Jo and her dedicated team for organising such a great gala which show cased all the teaching and learning that has occured this academic year.
Thanks, too, to the parents who were there to cheer our swimmers on!

K2L have really enjoyed being outside this week. Our "Bike Wash" in the Sensory Stream was very popular. The scooters, bikes, tricycles and trailers have never looked so good!
Aliens have been a theme this week in K2L and the students have created some amazing large scale paintings. I have enjoyed listening to the descriptions of these very imaginative aliens. What brilliant imaginations you all have, K2L!
Flying foam aeroplanes was a popular choice for a mixed group of K1 and K2 students today. Some of them landed in the trees but we managed to get them down. Can you guess how?
Our Year 3 Reading Buddies put on a special Shadow Puppet Show for us today which K2L absolutely loved! Thank you 3M for a wonderful treat! Your puppets, story lines and narrations were very inspiring and K2L have been talking about them all day!

What has been happening in K2L this week?
Our interest in Space, Rockets, Planets and Aliens continues in K2L. The children have really enjoyed making Space Books and cards for Captain Flashpants who is really struggling to learn all those facts to become an astronaut! We hope they will help. We are going to the school Post Office tomorrow to send him our creations.
There has been a lot of lovely collaborative learning happening in K2L.
