Alien and astronaut adventure......
The students of K2L worked alongside their friends and neighbours from K2A last week to create the most wonderful collection of astronaut helmuts and alien heads ever seen! This morning, we decided to go on an alien and astronaut adventure wearing these bespoke accessories. It was decided that the Year 1 and 2 play areas looked very much like a lunar landscape with many different textures, and plants and places for aliens to hide. Everyone enjoyed the mini adveture!
When we returned to class, K2L and K2A had a shared story about Bob, the astronaut who didn't believe in aliens. Please ask your child to retell this story!
Please enjoy the photos!

WOW! What fabulous head gear!!! Mya said that Bob really did believe in aliens after all and she does too!

After many weeks of unexpected delay (due to flooding), K2L finally made the short journey to True Coffee shop this morning, which is situated at the very front of school. Our main focus was to observe the many people who help us in our community.
Each student had decided what they would like to have at the cafe and had filled in an order form which they each handed to Khun Too who is the manager at True Coffee. Hot chocolate, apple juice or orange juice were the choices, in addition to a scrumptious cherry muffin!
Everyone enjoyed the experience and it was a lovely way to start the day!
As a special treat, we gave the guard on the gate an orange juice and muffin to thank him for helping us, and all the students at Bangkok Patana School every day.
Please enjoy our photos!

I want to go back to True Coffee and have orange juice and muffin again!

Happy new year to you all!
It was lovely to see all the familiar faces of K2L after the Christmas and new year holidays. And we were delighted to meet our new student who has already made lots of new friends. I know 2012 is going to be an exciting, action-packed year for us in K2!
We kick started the year with a fantastic picnic on the playing fields across the bridge. We all made our own sandwich to take with us for a snack. Ham, jam or cheese (or a combination of the three!) were our choices. There were so many different activities to choose from once there. Please have a look at a small selection of our photos.

It looked like a very serious business making the sandwiches! Well done everyone!
