Soothie making with our K2C buddies
The smell of delicious fruit, the sound of blenders blending and the sight of excited children was everywhere to be seen in K2L and K2C this morning! Children from each class buddied up and collaborated to create and make their own Smoothie. The children planned, negotiated, and sometimes compromised to ensure both parties were satisfied about the ingredients of their shared smoothie. Please ask your child what ingredients they used.
Perhaps your Smoothie expert can show you how to make a nutritious and delicious smoothie at home!
Please enjoy our photos!

We have had a very creative morning in K2L today!
A group of students decided "to work together and make a zoo". They have insisted that I "put it on the blog" so that they can share this wonderful construction with you at home. The children are extremely proud of this materpiece and so am I! We would love to hear your comments.

"TEAM WORK", they all shouted! Great work, everyone. You worked together as a team to get the job done!
What a wonderful Zoo. Looks like there was so much to see and do!

The students and staff in the Foundation Stage have been inspired by the build up to the London Olympics and have decided to begin each day with a mini work out. It is a really great way to start the day and we have found that the children not only enjoy it, but are full of energy and eager to learn when they get to their classrooms.
It has been encouraging to see so many parents becoming involved, too!
Please feel free to join us each morning from 7.40-7.50am. You are all welcome!
Here are a few photos from this morning's session.................

They are good, they are nice and they are fantastic!

The students of the Foundation Stage had the honour of walking across the stage holding the Olympic torches they had made at today's Olympic ceremony. There were many special guests....ask your children for more details!

Who is this?
Swimming Gala 2012
K2L paticipated in the much anticipated K2 Swimming Gala today with their friends from K2J and K2C.
The swimming team had arranged a rotation of 4 fantastic activities for the children to participate in. These activities clearly demonstrated the skills the students have been working on all year.
Thanks to the parents who braved the heat to cheer on our K2L swimming super stars!
Enjoy the photos!

The students of K2L buddied up with their friends in K2A last week to create some fantastic collaborative 3D works of art using only natural materials such as logs, stones, pebbles, shells and fallen leaves and flowers.
It was wonderful to see the students sharing their ideas and working so well together.
We took many photos of these momentary creations and felt satisfied that these natural resources can be used and reused many times. This is very good for our environment.
We must all remember to REUSE, REDUCE and RECYCLE!
