Y1A: This weblog has been set up in order for family and friends all around the world to see the things that the children of Y1A are doing at school this year.

Mixing and Witches and Wizards

Published Wednesday, February 09, 2011.

K2A have been doing lots of investigations to fine out what happens when you mix things together.

A Witches and Wizards Lab has been created in the classroom.

The children have been busy mixing different things to make potions.

Be careful if you enter K2A as the children have been creating their own spells to turn people into:

frogs, dinosaurs, zebras...

We are making wands for our spells

We have mixed pasta with water and food colouring.

I wonder if this is what Witches and Wizards eat?

Can you see any Wizards around here?

What are you mixing here?

Where have the colours and bubbles come from?

I am using a funnel to put glitter into a test tube.

Hmmmm... smells like honey to me!

Thick honey?

I have put honey, oil and water in here to see what happens.

The honey is at the bottom, then the water and the oil is on top.

I am a Scientist!

It is like a volcano

Look at the coloured bubbles
