Friday 30th March - Home Learning
What an 'egg-citing' time we have had in 6K!
This week we have been carrying out investigations to keep an egg safe when dropped from the balcony. This is all part of our Spy-Themed learning and has helped us to develop lots of practical Science skills as well as gaining important scientific knowledge about balanced and unbalanced forces.
Can you remember which forces we learned about?
Please enjoy the photographs.

Literacy:
Now that you are all ‘egg’sperts at creating an effective parachute, we would like you to write a report to M, explaining how you intend to launch the precious egg off the mountain. Your report should include:
- A description of the investigation
- A labelled diagram
- A scientific 'egg'splanation of how the egg will remain safe
Scientific Words:
- air resistance
- surface area
- gravity
- stream lined
Please present your report with imagination.
Connected Learning:
You need to design a front cover for your Term 2 portfolio. It can be completed on the computer (but print this at home please) or done by hand. Your portfolio will contain learning about 'Thailand and Tourism' and 'Spies' so think carefully about an appropriate title and theme.
Maths:
You have been set a MyMaths revision task for 'coordinates'. Remember to complete the lesson first.
Have an 'egg'cellent weekend!

How big is our porfolio s and what does it have to contain?

Connected Learning:
As we have been learning about 'Spy Stories', I would like you to design and make a spy gadget at home using any boxes, materials, artifacts you can lay your hands on! It does not have to be the same as the one you are designing in ICT. Please bring it in to school to show.
Literacy:
Be prepared to present your gadget to the class. You will need to talk clearly and confidently about how you made it and be able to explain each special feature in detail. Your audience will be asking you questions about your super-gadget so make sure you give this some thought.
Maths:
2 MyMaths tasks have been set for 6K Maths group - revision of multiplication and division.
Have a lovely weekend.
I hope you enjoyed the Tee-Ball!
Do we have to type the special features up?
