Happy New Year and Happy Home Learning!
Happy New Year to you all. It is lovely to be back at school feeling rested and energised ready for the exciting term ahead.
This week we discovered our brand new learning theme which leads us on an expedition of discovery about:
'Thailand and Tourism'
The library have asked us to produce a brochure for Patana new families that promotes responsible tourism in Thailand.
Connected Learning:
Please click here for details of our exciting Connected Learning project for this half term.
Literacy:
Click here for a reading comprehension exercise. Spend a minimum of 30 minutes on this task and answer the questions neatly in your Home Learning books. This relates to our IB focus 'caring'.
Maths:
Can I design a poster that shows my understanding of rotational symmetry?
Look for patterns around the house and in your local area. Sketch them or take photos of them and display them on your poster.
You may also use the internet and books and magazines.
Include a definition of rotational symmetry (Rotational symmetry is...) and what order of rotational symmetry each of your chosen patterns have.
For Math can we just write 1 sentence that sums up rotational symmetry, or do we hav to write a paragraph?

Miss kelly,
In our backpack we have to pack a pair of pyjama and a change of cloth, toothbrush, toothpaste and bottled water and maybe some snacks. Can we bring our dinner on to the train?
What happens to our suitcase when we open the bunk? (if we put our suitcase below our seat)
