Happy Holidays
Hello Everyone!
I hope you are having a restful and enjoyable break. We are in Vietnam at the moment and it is very cold indeed. We have been cruising around Halong Bay on a large boat and have spent today trekking in the hills.
It has been amazing.
Anyway, here are a few things you may like to know:
Dress up for World Language Day - Tuesday 21st February 2012
The whole school will be celebrating World Language Day on Tuesday 21st February. There will be a whole school assembly from 8:00am celebrating this event. Please come to school dressed in the colours that represent your home country or in national dress. We look forward to a colourful display of the 62 nationalities currently attending our school.
Memory Book
Next half term the children will be creating a Memory Book: a wonderful collection of photos and messages to commemorate their time in the primary school of BPS. Each child will have a full page where they can present their own messages in addition to a double page for the whole class. The children should begin to organise their thoughts over the holidays and bring in digital photos (thumb drives or email is probably best) or hard copies of photos/drawing that they would like to display.
Smile Day
Please remember that Smile Day is on Friday March 9th. This is a chance for you to be creative and dress me up as a superhero. The more powerful I look - the better!
World Maths Day
Although I have not set any home learning for the half term holidays, I would like you all to keep practising on the World Maths Day website. We will be competing during WMD but already, after only 3 days, Mac is 27th in the world rankings and my maths set is 11th and Miss Kerry's Maths set is 8th! Very impressive. Let's keep practising.
Thailand Presentations
Remember we will be sharing our presentations in the first week back.
I want someone to challenge me on world maths day!
