6K: Learning for Life

Home Learning - Friday 18th May 2012

Published Friday, May 18, 2012.
Last updated: Friday, May 18, 2012

Maths:

There are 2 revision exercises for you to complete:

'Ratio and Proportion' and 'Reflect, Rotate, Translate'

Literacy:

Please refer to Chaper 8 of Kensuke's Kingdom that you read in class today. You will find it here:

part a, part b, part c

Can I complete a timeline of Kensuke's life including all the significant events?

You should start from Kensuke's birth in Japan until he is in the boat with Michael telling his story. Please present your timeline in an imaginative way using a combination of words and pictures.

Connected Learning:

By now you should have completed most of your Olympic research and have begun to organise your presentation. Remember you must clearly show your 5 key inquiry questions and the research you have done. We want to learn from your presentation so the content is very important. Be sure that you understand your research and that you are aiming to improve upon your Thailand and Tourism presentation.

As a result of the change to the NCT week, we have changed the deadline for your presentations. You now have any time between Monday 21st May and Friday 8th June. Please sign up for your individual slot from next week.

Thank you! Have a lovely weekend.

So we only include him telling the story or also that they go fishing and drag the boat down to the beach...?

The time line can be presented in first person or third person so it is your choice.

There is no need to include any of the boat and the beach part of the story - just include the events leading up to this.
