Home Learning for this week and Half Term
Maths:
Nelson Mandela and the struggle against apartheid (Problem Solving)
Remember to set your calculations out neatly.
Only spend 30 minutes on this task. You do not need to complete all the problems. If you are stuck - move on to another question.
Literacy:
Please read Erika's Story (see link). Illustrate the main points of the story on the story map (see link). You can also include important words or phrases.
Try retelling this story to somebody in your family using only the map for guidance.
We would like you to learn to tell this story independently over the half term break. You do not have to learn it word for word but it is important that you are able to retell the story using a map for support and without reading from the text. Practise with your friends and family. You could even make it into a small play or create puppets to tell the tale.
Have fun and we look forward to hearing you tell the story when we return to school.
Connected Learning:
We are really impressed with some of the home learning projects we have seen from the Moving People matrix. Please make sure that you have all brought in something to share by the end of this half term or in the first week back at the very latest. Remember we would like you to share your matrix home learning every 2-3 weeks.
Thank you
Mrs. Kelly is it okay if i go on Miss Laird's (6L's) blog because their is no link on your blog
