World Book Day

Thursday was World Book Day and the children in 2W shared a task that they had completed at home about a favourite book . Here are some of the wonderful things they did......
Some children drew pictures of an important part of the story. One book chosen was called “A chair for my mother” .... but it was written in Mandarin! Wow!
Others made up word searches from one of their favourite books. They enjoyed sharing them with each other and finding the words.
Some children decided to draw a picture of their favourite character in a book. Characters chosen included Walter the farting dog (because he is funny, brave and intelligent) and the Little Blue Tuk Tuk.

Look at the fantastic posters made by some people to advertise their favourite books. They included lots of information and pictures that really made the other children want to read the books. Some included information about the author, other books in the series and a blurb. We all agreed that this made us really want to read the books.

When can we have beyblade day can it be tommorow or the day after??????????????????????????????????

Today was the day we have all been waiting and working so hard for - the day of our production! Having spent such a long time practising song words, dance moves, lines and acting, we were all eager to perform for our parents and families.

Today 2W, along with 2A, have changed from being pupils at Bangkok Patana, to being pirates on the Island of Dr Know.

The pirates arrived back on land disappointed to have not found the treasure. Something must have been missing from the map! Captain Jones kept them all in line, insisting that they get to work.

When the shipwrecked travellers dared to trespass on the pirates' land, Captain Jones ordered that they be captured.

Fortunately for them, Mrs Jones was able to explain to her husband that the travellers were not looking for a treasure map but for a part of a map that would help them get off the island.

Captain Jones did the right thing, ordering the prisoners to be released and giving them the part of the map they were looking for.

The shipwrecked travellers were able to continue with their journey ... and the pirates with their quest for gold!

Well done for such a fantastic performance. I know that everyone is very proud of you! We certainly have some very talented performers at Bangkok Patana.
