What makes slides fun?

At the beginning of our learning journey we said that one of the things we enjoy about holidays is going on slides and rollercoasters.

Miss Kay asked:

We said:
We have started to investigate slides and find out how the gradient (steepness) of slope affects how fast things move down them. We timed how long it would take for a marble to roll down a slope. We carried out a fair test making sure that we kept some things the same: the surface of the slope, the starting point for rolling the marble, and not pushing the marble when we let it go. We enjoyed carrying out our investigation.

We found out that the steeper the slope the quicker things move down it.
