Some of the questions seem really easy to answer but if you think about things carefully you’ll find that the answer can be quite detailed and complicated. Don’t just tell me the answers to the questions. Try and work in some more information and detail about the subject as well. After you’ve answered a few of the questions above then you may think of your own. e.g. Why do people live in houses? People live in houses so that they can shelter from the cold or the rain. In other places in the world, people need shelter from the heat and the sun. A long time ago people often lived in cave homes. However, many people found that these were cold and damp and so they did not live in them all of the time. Houses are much better than cave homes because they have windows to let the light in and they are easier to keep clean. Can you use causal connectives? Can you write in the present tense? Try to write using the third person. This means writing about the topic name and not using words like "I" "we" or "you". If you are writing about how to do something, write "People..." or "Children" instead of "you". Remember an explanation is different to writing instructions.
