Junior Librarians
We are the Bangkok Patana Junior Librarians. This program was introduced to us by Mrs. McDevitt in a Year 6 assembly (is Year 6 only) in Term 2. When we heard about it we thought automatically ‘this would be a great opportunity!’ so we both wrote our applications straight away! 10 students were then picked to be Junior Librarians; we are part of those 10.
The Junior Librarians meet up every Monday break time in the Primary library where they are informed on their weekly duties, and then they get into pairs and choose one lunch time to come to the library to do their job (shelving, reading to KS1 classes, writing blog posts, labelling book genres etc.).
Once we completed this apprenticeship program, we were allowed to train on the circulation desk like a real librarian! See us in action below!

Hi
You are doing a great job in the library. Keep it up!
Ms Sal
We are so lucky to have such enthusiastic students involved with our library. You are all so responsible giving up your own time to support our library.
