Week Beginning 21st Febuary 2011
World Language Week and the Foundation Stage Sports Day were just some of the highlights in Nursery and K1. We would like to thank you all for your support with these special events. On Monday we celebrated ‘World Language Day’ in our Nursery and K1 assembly. The children wore their name badges with pride and it was wonderful to be able to sing ‘Good Morning’ in so many different languages; celebrating the variety we have in our year groups.
Child initiated learning and interactive activities continue to stimulate and encourage language learning. Following their interests, children are actively engaged and are able to communicate both non-verbally and verbally with one another and with the adults who play and interact alongside.
This week, the children have continued to explore the gardens looking for minibeasts. They had access to a variety of resources where they could direct their own play. Please take a moment to share and and observe some of the exciting learning opportunies the children experienced during the week.
Thank You
Mrs Sarah, Miss Kate and Miss Jess
