Week beginning 13th June 2011
This week the children have continued to explore playing in the K1 Shoe Shop, trying on the different types and sizes of shoes. In the garden the children have enjoyed using different lengths of clear plastic tubing to transport coloured water from one container to another. The final preperations for the Art Exhibition have been underway and we know that the children are very excited about sharing their wonderful masterpieces with you on Wednesday.
We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday.

Week Beginning 6th June 2011
We have had a very busy week in the "Shoe Shop". There has been lots of measuring and the children have been learning words to describe and compare size.
The children have continued to enjoy exploring colour and colour mixing using the lightbox. Using the red, yellow, blue and green transparent counters, they have mixed colours to make new ones. Some children have been threading pasta and straws onto string helping to develop their fine motor skills.
We look forward to sharing the children's wonderful masterpieces at the Art Exhibition next week!
