We would like to share the wonderful learning that is going on in K1 with you.
In the K1 garden there has been continued interest in exploring forces. This started with a group of boys making ramps for cars and has now moved on to positioning guttering at many levels and running water down the guttering. Children have explored placing objects including boats, balls, plastic mini-beasts and cars on the guttering to see how quickly the water moves them. To support language at this activity we have been singing the following poem...
Incy Wincy Spider
Incy Wincy Spider climbed up the spout,
Down came the rain and washed poor Incy out,
Out came the sunshine and dried up all the rain,
So Incy Wincy Spider climbed up the spout again.

In the K1 garden many children have been interested in digging in the digging pit.
Outdoor water play.
Exploring capacity.
Block play in the K1 Garden
Music Making
Watching the tadpoles grow and change
Swimming in the pool.
Making things with playdough
Fitting pieces together
Mixing rice and food colouring
My Cowboy painting
Visiting the flower shop
Reading "find out" books
We can balance!
