Week Beginning 3rd May
K1 children have enjoyed exploring and learning about different types of fruits and vegetables. In 'group time', K1 have been sharing stories such as 'Handa's Surprise' and 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar', all of which talk about different types of fruits. During 'Free Flow' many children have enjoyed mark making using the new chalk board and exploring making patterns in the sand. We hope you enjoy looking at some of the pictures of the wonderful learning that has happened in K1 since the Songkran break.
Miss Jess, Miss Kate and Mrs. Sarah

On Thursday the hungry caterpillar ate four strawberries.

I can paint fruit.

After eating lots of fruit the very hungry caterpillar turned into a butterfly. I am making a symmetrical butterfly using blobs of paint.

A purple berry.

Making a repeating pattern with fruit.

We used real fruit in the home corner.

I carefully cut the outline for my fruit basket.

I used coloured paper to weave through my basket.

I used the chalks to write my name and draw pictures.

I stuck jewels in a pattern on my crown.

Making patterns in the sand.

Investigating sand.

I can float like a star.

I can balance upside down.
