Week beginning 5th September 2011
Counting Rhymes are very much enjoyed by the children this week. They encourage them to use number names spontaneously! They are also able to count using concrete objects. The children have been introduced to the ‘Five Little Speckled Frogs' number rhyme and have enjoyed exploring the life cycle of tadploes and frogs with first hand experiences.

We have enjoyed sharing the story of ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ by Michael Rosen. Through interactive and multi- sensory learning experiences, the children have become fully engaged with the story and have loved retelling it in the garden and in our swimming pool.
We hope you enjoy sharing these pictures with your friends and family.
