K2M - Let's start a lifetime of learning...:  What will we discover today?

Our Bean Diaries

Published Thursday, September 29, 2011.
Last updated: Wednesday, October 05, 2011

On Tuesday we planted beans and have been watching them closely to see what has happened to them through the week.   We have given them Soil, Water and Sunlight to help them grow.  We also planted some other beans and put them in dry and dark places to see if they would grow.   Cool

We enjoyed using magnifying glasses to take a closer look...

On Friday we will send some beans home with the bean diaries.  Can you grow yours tall enough to reach the Giant's Castle?  Laughing

The tale of the three Billy Goats Gruff

The Three Billy Goats Gruff

Once upon a time there was not one, not two but three Billy Goats Gruff who lived beside a sparkling

stream.

Early one morning they wanted to cross the rickety bridge to eat the lush green grass on the other

side but an ugly troll lived under the bridge.

First, Baby Billy Goat Gruff went trip trapping over the bridge.

“Who’s that trip trapping over my bridge?” roared the ugly troll.

“’Tis I, Baby Billy Goat Gruff. I’m going to the meadow to eat the lush green grass”.

“Well, I’m coming to gobble you up!” roared the troll.

“No, no – wait for my older brother. He’s much bigger than I”.

So the troll let Baby Billy Goat pass by.

Next, Middle Sized Billy Goat Gruff went trip trapping over the bridge.

“Who’s that trip trapping over my bridge?” roared the ugly troll.

“’Tis I, Middle Sized Billy Goat Gruff. I’m going to the meadow to eat the lush green grass”.

“Well, I’m coming to gobble you up!” roared the troll.

“No, no – wait for my older brother. He’s much bigger than I”.

So the troll let Middle Sized Billy Goat pass by.

Finally, Big Billy Goat Gruff went trip trapping over the bridge.

“Who’s that trip trapping over my bridge?” roared the ugly troll.

“’Tis I, Big Billy Goat Gruff. I’m going to the meadow to eat the lush green grass”.

“Well, I’m coming to gobble you up!” roared the troll.

“Oh no you won’t”, roared the Big Billy Goat Gruff.

And he butted the ugly troll with his sharp horns and the troll went spinning into the water with a huge splash! He was never seen again.

In the end, the three Billy Goats Gruff crossed the bridge to eat the lush green grass on the other side and they were happy!

All the puppets we made and played with.

Might be easier to download this little film to share at home. The Youtube post was not working correctly. Sorry for the delay...MH

K2M enjoying the Primary Library

We visit the primary library every Wednesday.  In the library we listen to a story and then choose some books to look at with our friends.  It is a great place to share our favourite stories. Laughing
