Many students in Class 2P did not believe me this week, when I told them that the letter 'q' is always followed by the letter 'u', such as in the words 'queen' and 'quick'.

But I was born in Qatar. That doesn't have an 'u' after the 'q'!

Thanks for pointing that out Sam, maybe it's because the Q in Qatar makes the 'c' sound and not the 'qu' sound. Any other 'q' words that are not followed by 'u'?
