### M is for Monday, Marvellous and Multiplication

We'll be doing some multiplication in maths this week.

Try this at home. (Click on activity number 5). If you don't know the answers straight away, here's some quick strategies:

1. If multilpying by 2, just double it
2. If multipying by 10, add a zero to the number you are mulitiplying, e.g 3 x 10 = 30
3. If mulitiplying by 5, you will have to count in fives until you reach the correct number of fives. Remember, the answer will always end in 0 or 5.
4. Finally,  like addition, you can swap the numbers you are multiplying around, to help you reach the correct answer. For example, 5 x 9 seems trickier than 9 x 5, so just swap the numbers...
