Swim Gala Water Fun for K2 and KS1 Children 2011

A lot has been happening in the pool during the past few weeks as children in K2, Year 1 and Year 2 have been practising their events for last weeks’ highly anticipated Swimming Galas. Over 125 children showed off their water confidence and swam in front of a huge gallery of friends and family whose cheers and support could be heard throughout the Primary School and beyond!  All of our young swimmers were working hard in a range of different stroke techniques and water based fun activities. The games were not only fun but also reinforced confidence in the water and encouraged important water safety and life skills. The children produced excellent performances and each and every child impressed us with their enthusiasm and can do attitude. 

Well done and thank you to all of the swim team for their work in preparing the children throughout the year, all staff that helped out on the gala days and to the parents who came along to support.

Finally a huge thank you to our Year 4 students who helped with the K2 Galas and congratulations to all of our K2, Year 1 and Year 2 children for their effort and energy in the pool on their Gala days.
