Our Trip to Siam Ocean World
It has been a very exciting day in K2!
The long awaited and eagerly anticipated K2 trip to Siam Ocean World happened today!
It was a pleasure to take 87 such well behaved students on a visit to this world class aquarium today. There was just so much to see and discover. Please ask your child about their highlight of the day.
Was it the seahorses, sharks or starfish? Or perhaps the penguins, water raters or jellyfish?
A huge thanks to the parents who kindly offered to be group leaders today. We very much appreciate your time.
Here are a few photos. Comments from the children to follow in the comung days...........
SPORTS DAY 2013
What an active day we have had today in the Foundation Stage!
A few drops of rain fell at the very beginning of the morning but they didn't dampen our enthusiam in any way. It was fantastic to see all the students in K2L participate in all the wonderful events created by the PE Department. It was hard to decide which was our favourie. "James and the Giant Peach" or "Aladdin's Magic Carpet"? "Humpty Dumpty" or "The Gingerbread Man Running Race"? I liked "Jack's Magic Beans" best! Which was your favourite?
Thanks to all the parents who came along to support the children. And thanks, too, to the PE Department for designing the course for us.
Congratulations K2L on your enthusiastic participation in our Sports Day today! We are all very proud of you!
Please enjoy our photos!
You are sporting super stars, K2L!
WHAT A GREAT DAY IT HAS BEEN TODAY!
Happy Chinese New Year!
We have enjoyed learning about Chinese New Year today!
The children were very interested in creating their own Lion Dance.
Today's Assembly was a feast for the senses with so much to see, hear and participate in, for some.
Do you know why red is such a popular colour during Chinese New Year celebrations?
What is it the year of this year? There are some clues in the photos.
What year were you born in? I was born in the year of the ..........

Super Heroes and eggs.................an odd combination!!!
Week 3 of Term 2 has continued to be action packed and exciting in K2!
"Super Heroes" is the theme of the week. The students have enjoyed learning about who and what Super Heroes are and the kinds of special super-human powers they possess! A Super Hero Training School has been set up in the role play area. Masks, wrist bands and belts are being created over the course of the week by the children to add to the drama of their play. K2L have even created their own Class Super Hero. Each child had the opportunity to orally contribute their ideas which I scribed on their behalf. This will be posted in the coming days.
We also explored eggs this week by talking about them, holding them, throwing and catching them and...........cracking them.We thought of many ways in which we can "change" eggs. Cooking them was a popular choice. How many different ways can you cook an egg?
Eggs for tea, anyone?
