Is your Maths target to add and subtract 2-digit numbers mentally?  Ananya has been very reflective and found this super game to help you to practise!

Why not challenge yourself and try 3-digit numbers!

Mission Possible

Published Tuesday, November 13, 2012.
Last updated: Tuesday, November 13, 2012

Dear 4R,

Mrs McDevitt has set you an extra challenge for your home learning linked to your Reading Mission Possible.  You will have until Friday 23rd November to complete this.

We have been looking at the features/ingredients of Fiction Genres in our Library lessons. Now is your chance to reflect on what we have learnt and share your favourite genre with your class, and maybe the whole Primary School!

This week and next week for your home learning you will create a POSTER about ONE of the Reading Mission Possible genres (Historical Fiction, Mystery, Adventure, Realistic Fiction, Humorous Fiction and Fantasy).

Your A4 poster:

MUST explain the main features/ingredients of your favourite genre in an interesting and eye-catching way.

SHOULD have images on it (these can be hand-drawn or done on the computer)

COULD include famous authors/books of the genre

Think carefully and be creative. Mrs. McDevitt will be assessing your posters and they will go into your portfolios. Some of the best entries will be made into full size posters that will hang in the Library!

If you get stuck, you can visit the Library blog for reminders about what we talked about in our Library lessons last term and see some example posters. The blog post is there to help but you must not copy the ideas word for word.

If you have any questions you can ask your class teacher or Mrs. McDevitt (in the library or via the Library blog).
