As we have our Moving People Exhibition of Learning on Friday 7th December, we would like you design a front cover for the programme. It should be on A5 paper and in black ink only – no colour. It should also include the following details:
- Year 6
- An Exhibition of Learning
- Friday 7th December 2012
- Relevant picture
We will select the best 2 designs from each class to be distributed to friends and family on the day.
Loi Krathong, Sports Day and Home Learning
This week we were fortunate enough to be able to help Y5 celebrate their wonderfully successful Arts Week. As well as producing an amazing variety of art, they also wowwed us with a stunning assembly which showcased their talent.
Well done Y5.
We have a very busy week next week...
On Wednesday we will be celebrating Loi Krathong, which is a magical event in the Thai year. It is a festival for honouring the rains, rivers and waters. A Krathong is floated on the waters with good wishes for the year ahead.
The Krathong is like a floating crown, made from woven banana leaves, held together with wooden splinters and decorated with flowers and incense.
As well as dressing in traditional Thai costume, we will be learning about the Loi Krathong festival and will work collaboratively to create our own Krathongs.
On Thursday morning it will be the Y5 and 6 sports day. Please remember to bring all of your equipment including a hat and a water bottle. Best of all, you get to bring your own cheerleaders (a.k.a. parents!).
