Konnichi wa Year 4 Japanese Class.

Recently we have been learning how to say animal names.

Try remembering how to say animal names on this page:

http://www.digitaldialects.com/Japanese/Animals_simp.htm

You may watch a video of Puni Puni at the Zoo:

http://www.digitaldialects.com/Japanese/Animals_simp.htm

Then, try this game:

http://www.digitaldialects.com/Japanese/Animals_simp_words.htm

We have also been learning how to describe animals. Here are the adjectives we have been learning to describe animals:

Chisai - small, ookii - big,  kawaii - cute, kowai - scary, kitanai - dirty, urusai - noisy, abunai - dangerous

Do your best to remember the new vocabulary.

Welcome to the Year 4 Nihongo Blog

Minnasan, Konnichi wa.

We can already say many Japanese greetings. Lets review them.

Ohaiyo Gozaimasu - Good Morning
Konnichi wa - Hello
Konban wa - Good Evening
Oyasumi nasai - Good Night
Sumimasen - Excuse me
Arigato Gozaimasu - Thank you
Hajimemashite - Nice to meet you.

We can also ask someone's name by saying:
O namae wa ....?
We can reply by saying:
Watashi wa (name) desu.

When we meet someone the first time we say:
Hajimemashite, watashi wa ..... desu.  - Nice to meet you, I am .....

I hope we can all do our best to learn Japanese this year.

Minnasan, Ganbatte Kudasai.

Daniel Sensei. Laughing
