Educational visits play an integral part in promoting the academic, personal and
social development of each child and Bangkok Patana provides an excellent, comprehensive
programme of trips for students from Kindergarten to Year 13.
Day and residential visits are carefully planned
to enhance the school curriculum and provide stimulating, first hand experience
of cultural, historical, physical and scientific environments using the wealth
of resources provided in Thailand and Asia generally.
Residential visits, in particular, present
children with mental and physical challenges which develop independence and self
awareness as well as promoting collaborative, responsible attitudes to other group
members.
The programme of residential visits extends from the two-night stay in
Prachinburi in Year 3 to longer trips which are based in Kanchanaburi, Khao Yai,
Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Rayong and Chiang Dao amongst other venues. Specialist
visits for Secondary School students include those to Vietnam and China
(history), Chiang Mai (biology), Napo,
Koh Lak and Cambodia (Creativity, Action and Service), and
outdoor education destinations such as Malaysia.
