Counsellors are trained to help students if they are having any difficulties that are not directly related to their schoolwork. Nearly all students have times when things are difficult for them while they are at school (some more so than others) and while not all students will need to see a counsellor, some students find it really helpful having an independent, confidential person they can talk to.
