Counselling
What do the counsellors at Bangkok Patana do?

Counsellors are trained to help students if they are having any difficulties that are not directly related to their schoolwork. Nearly all students have times when things are difficult for them while they are at school (some more so than others) and while not all students will need to see a counsellor, some students find it really helpful having an independent, confidential person they can talk to.

Some of the issues that counsellors are particularly trained to help with are things like:

  • Stress and anxiety
  • Family problems
  • Depression
  • Relationship issues
  • Making a difficult decision

Part of a counsellor’s role is also to be aware of appropriate professionals outside school to whom they can refer students or parents where needed.
