The 24 Hour Play
33 GCSE Drama and IB Theatre students spent 24 hours this weekend devising an original piece of
drama to perform on Saturday in the new Black Box theatre.
While the Year 12 IB Theatre students were responsible for choosing the initial idea for their plays; once they joined the Year 11 students on Friday, everyone shared responsibility and took on roles as directors, lighting designers and operators and performers in the new theatre. It was a very successful project that gave our students the chance to be fully independent learners and achieve a great deal under intense time pressure.

"I was so impressed by the polished performances: lines learnt, intense acting, lighting and sound. What a great first performance in the brand new Black Box! Well done."
