The Songkran tradition has long been observed by Thais. This new year festival is when the locals would give alms, release birds and fish, bathe Buddha images, build sand chedis, hold Nang Songkran and floral processions, and pour water over the hands of elders.
Both the Primary and Secondary Schools had their own Songkran assemblies celebrating this special time of year with singing, dancing and the traditional water ceremony.
"Have a Happy and Safe Songkran everyone!"
