Strawberry Fields - Amour
Year 13 students performed their final devised plays as part of their IB Theatre course. Strawberry Fields used Absurd Theatre to explore the imploding dynamics of a group of flatmates. Amour cut between three different plays exploring different facets of love; offering a tragi-comic insight into everyday couples' experience.

"I was totally engaged in the amalgamation of these four plays written, produced and performed by Year 13 students. I applaud the detail of the acting which brilliantly succeeded in creating characters that drew you into their situation, feelings and made the audience hang on their every word. Congratulations to all and sorry that this is the last year at Patana for these extremely talented individuals."

"A wonderful evening of theatre. I was so impressed with the beautifully crafted economic dialogue of the first play and the sophisticated and mature view of relationships in the second. Thought provoking themes were made all the more powerful with the deft touch of comedy via absurdism and commedia dell arte - The best IB plays I've seen in my time at Patana. Well Done Year 13."

"I thought your performances were outstanding. As audience members, we were drawn into a huge range of human emotions from giddy giggling to heartwrenching shock and sadness. Well done to the whole team of writers, actors, technical support. If you were not a fabulous team, there would be no way you could pull off such amazing work."
