Being Courageous in the Kitchen

As part of their CAS (Community Action Service), a group of Bangkok Patana Secondary students invited student refugees from Courageous Kitchen to visit the school and collaborate on a cooking project. The purpose of the activity is to is to develop the visitors' English speaking and cooking skills as well as encourage cross cultural collaboration and understanding.

Courageous Kitchen is an NGO which aims to help children and young people from impoverished refugee communities to develop the skills they will need in the future. The visitors were aged between 15 and 18 and came from a Vietnamese refugee community. All the students had lots of fun baking shortbread biscuits which the visiting group then took home to share with their families.
