Tiger Day

This week we will be celebrating the Tiger Spirit by dressing in orange and black on Friday. We will be undertaking a range of ‘Tiger' activities throughout the block. The Fairy Tale theme will still continue as children across K2 encounter a range of fairy tales. Please check our class blogs to see what is happening in your child's class.

Once upon a time...

The Fairy Tale theme is still in full swing in K2, but things are starting to go in different directions as classes follow the interests of the children and mix up the fairy stores. Another busy week in K2

Last week around the K2 building you would have heard lots of trip trapping and huffing and puffing as we looked at Fairy Tales. The stage has very much been a focal point for acting out our favourite fairy tales and nursery rhymes as well as impromptu dance and singing shows. Our Fairy Tale theme continues up to half term. Do talk to child about the fairy tales they are learning in class. Please check class blogs to find out what is happening in class.

Learning in K2

Fairy tales is the theme for the weeks leading up to half term. We will be looking at a range of fairy tales across the year group and using this as a starting point for our classroom activities. Drama will be an important aspect as children are given the opportunity to act parts of their favourite fairy tale and develop their language skills as they talk about the characters. Considering the rights and wrongs of fairy tale characters will give way to lots of discussion in class. Do talk to your child about the fairy tales they are hearing in school and please check class blogs to see what individual classes are up to.

Full Days

The K2 children have settled into their new classes so well. Well Done K2. Next week we start our full days, so we will be finishing at 1:50.

Welcome Back

Welcome Back!

It was lovely to see all the K2s looking very smart in their new uniform. Everyone had a wonderful day and all the teachers have been very impressed with their new classes. We are looking forward to a wonderful year ahead.

Art Exhibition

Wow! What a fantastic Art Exhibition. All of the Playgroup, Nursery, K1 and K2 have been working extremely hard with different materials and techniques to produce some amazing works of art. Thank you to all the parents who came along to make today so special. The Art Exhibition remains open until Friday lunchtime, so do come and take a look.

Trips inside and out!

K2 are luckily enough to be involved in two trips over the next couple of weeks. Each class is trekking over the Soi Lasalle Bridge to visit our outdoor classroom. K2 C visited last week and had an amazing morning. The remaining classes are going this week and next. This week, we are also going to Ocean World to investigate some under the sea life. Cbinese New Year

On Friday 4th February we are celebrating Chinese New Year. You may come to school dressed in red and gold or in Chinese style clothes.
