At Patana, 500 educators from around the region will gather together to exchange ideas and share experiences regarding the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in the classroom. They will discuss issues that affect ICT integration in schools whether the school's programme is just beginning or is well developed.

Effectively adapting to the spread of ICT in our schools poses one of our greatest challenges in the coming years. We believe that the best way for educators to develop is to learn what others are doing and to share their own experiences with colleagues.

To help you meet this challenge, Patana is hosting this conference for those in international schools to exchange ideas, skills and experiences with others from across Thailand and the region. This is the only ICT conference in Southeast Asia of its kind. The conference will be held on Nov 11th, and there will also be additional workshops on November 10th and 12th.

Andrew McBean, Microsoft Thailand's Managing Director will be opening the conference following a "School of the Future" multimedia experience.

We have two options for attendance:

Travel

Participants on the two day intensive workshops should plan to arrive at Patana between 2:30pm and 3pm on Thursday the 10th November.

Participants on the main Friday conference should plan to arrive early as the traffic can be very unpredictable. The TechEx reception will open at 7am for a prompt (very prompt) 8am start. Tea and coffee will be available for you at that time.

All visitors to the school will be subject to strict security measures. Please bring current photo ID so that your identity can be checked against the lists of confirmed participants and presenters.

A drop off trolley service will be available for presenters with heavy equipment. Please let us know in advance if you require this service. Vehicles should be parked in the car park directly opposite the main entrance of the school.

There are two recommended hotels in the vicinity of the school. Special rates are available for those who are registered for TechEx:
