Some maths challenges.

How many of these maths problems can you solve? Some are harder some are easier. Problems where you have to do some thinking but you can solve it are just right. Remember to write the information down - what is the important information? What are you trying to find out? Do you have add, subtract, multiply or divide? Also remember to show your working.
Year 4 are given a sunflower that is 97cm tall. They measure it later in the term, and it has grown 95cm. How many metres tall is the sunflower now?
At the end of the year, the sunflower has grown by half as much again. What is the sunflower’s height at the end of the year?
There are 80 marbles in a jar. 15 are red, 20 are blue, 13 are yellow. The rest are green. How many green marbles are there in the jar?
A box holds 12 pencils, there are four boxes. How many pencils are there altogether? How many pencils are there in 10 boxes?
Jenny buys three different things from the post office. She buys two stamps at 27p each and a chocolate bar which is £1.20. How much does she spend altogether?
How much change will she get from £2.00? If she had £3.00, how much change would she get?
A Viking boat holds 45 soldiers. How many soldiers would there be in 5 boats? How many would there be in 9 longboats?
It takes Eric Bloodbath 6 hours to make 1 Viking shield. How long would it take him to make 9 shields?
If it takes 41/2 hours to make 1 Viking helmet, how long would it take him to make 6 helmets?There are 16 houses in one Viking village. Another Viking village is double the size of the first one. How many houses are there in the second village?
There are 30 people at a bus stop. 10 vampires suddenly appear and each bite the same number of people. All the people are bitten. How many people did each vampire bite?
There are 4 caterpillars on a tree. Each caterpillar eats 9 leaves. What is the total number of leaves eaten?
A man goes to a pet shop to buy equipment for his new dog. The pet shop owner shows him a bowl at £2.50, some dog treats at £3.75, a collar at £5.50, and a chew toy at £7.95. How much money does the man need to buy one of each?
You have a bag of 36 marbles. Some are red, some yellow and the rest are blue. If 1/4 are red, how many marbles are red?
If 1/2 are yellow, how many blue marbles do you have?
How many yellow marbles are in 3 bags altogether?
T. Rex went shopping because he had to buy 2 Christmas presents. He had £5.00 in his claw. He bought a ball for 75p and a bag of sweets for 35p. How much change did he have left?
Mark had 50 red crayons on his table. These had to be shared between 5 tables in the classroom. How many crayons were on each table?

I didn't get the first question please can you explain me the question after the school starts.
sunflower is 97cm tall. after term1 it grows more 95cm so its nw 97+95 cm=192cm tall after end of year it has grown half as much which is half of 192=(100+90+2)/2=50+45+1=96cm more. so at the end of year its nw 192+96cm tall=288cm=2m88cm tall
