Exciting Events Happening in the Library

Hi Everyone

You will have noticed as you walk past the old library that it is now covered with the all too familiar green netting. This is a good thing though and  means that work is underway on the new library. You can imagine the library team are starting to get really excited about the new library opening next term. We will be putting a display up today on the netting!)  to show you how wonderful it is going to look. The facilities are going to be fantastic. I still pinch myself, when I walk around the Secondary Library, so I can hardly believe that we are to have a wonderful new Primary Library too.

Things have been great in the Secondary Library this week. The Year 11 and Year 13 have loved revising in there. There is a huge display of new books just inside the door so make sure that you find time to check it out. The Teacher Choice books are also fun to borrow; it is interesting to see what the teachers enjoy!

Have you noticed the new competition outside the Seconary Library. What a great display! Please do take a moment to have a look even if you don't have time to guess who all the staff are! A huge thank you to the library team, led by Goy and Aum for putting up this wonderful and eye catching display.

All life is good in the libraries. We love it to see you so please do visit. As always, if there are any resources that you recommend we purchase do let us know.

Happy Reading.

Ms F.

Welcome Back to the Primary Libraries

Hi Everyone

It is great to see everyone back in the Primary Libraries. Things have gone very smoothly in the transition  to the temporary spaces and the students are enjoying their new libraries. In fact, some of the very little ones have been blown away with the transformation of the visitor's room to the Temporary Early Year's Library. 'Awesome' has been heard a lot!

Even though many of our resources are in storage there is still a good range to choose from so please do pop by. If you prefer to keep using the Secondary Library in the short term we have ensured that there is a range of appropriate books in there too for the younger children.

A quick reminder that parents can borrow p to 15 items using their family card so please do make sure to pop by and choose some books.

The libraries are certainly flourishing at the moment and are very busy. It has been wonderful to see Year 11 and Year 13 using the Secondary Library so well for their revision. A gentle reminder that bags should be left in the lockers, but do take your valuables out first.

Our i-pads are also becoming increasingly well used and we have a good range of educational apps on them. Do send suggestions for others though, if you have any.

All in all, it is the end to another great week at Patana. I was lucky enough to meet with other Bangkok Librarians last week and share ideas and suggestions. It was very rewarding and I left feeling incredibly fortunate to be part of such a wonderful school.

So on that note, enjoy the photo's below and have a great weekend.

Happy Reading.

Sal
