Exciting Bedtime Stories for Year 2
What an exciting end to the term? Year 2 had their sleepover at school yesterday. We were thrilled that they visited the library so we could share bedtime stories with them. Dressing up in PJs and turning the storytelling area into a bed just added to the fun!
Year 2 seem to be in the limelight a lot at the minute. In the KS1 Olympic Readers Competition they were the year group who had completed the most reading. It was tight call with less than 1% between Year 1 and Year 2 for who had received the most medals. In total we have handed out almost 600 gold medals so we are very pleased with the success of the competition. Fantastic reading!
The library is very busy at the moment with everyone returning their books for the summer. During the holidays the library should be open as usual, butit is probably worth phoning the school before visiting the library, just to double check it isn't a training day.
Parents you are welcome to borrow up to 20 books for your children to read over the holidays so do pop by.
Wishing you all a successful and restful holiday. Thanks for the great support everyone has given to the library. Keep the book suggestions coming in!
Happy Holidays.
Ms Sal and Mrs McDevitt
